Park Herb Garden
Posted on Apr 21st, 2009

Kids of all ages invited to help plant the Tot Lot Garden Plot!
Plans are in the works to plant a perennial herb garden in the raised bed inside the Tot Lot. This garden will give children an opportunity to learn about growing herbs—plants that are useful. Planting is scheduled for Saturday, May 2, from 10-11 a.m.  Please bring a trowel or shovel and gloves if possible.

Herbs wanted too! If you have any herbs in your garden that you are willing
to divide for use in the Tot Lot Garden Plot, please contact Linda Eastman, lkeastman@mi.rr.com  or 734-502-8563. This garden is in partial shade. Some herbs we are considering are: sweet woodruff, French tarragon, chives, scented geraniums, various mints, hyssop, catnip, lemon balm, thyme, and costmary. If you have other recommendations, they would be welcome as well.
